I got the wah-wah pedal functioning and learnt a bit of slide, so my guitar playing has really been moving upwards. Aside from the usual, nothing else has really happened. Went to the reserve a couple times this week, one for a fun wedding and 2 days later, for a funeral.. It's weird how things can change from great to sour in a heartbeat.
My cousin's son Hunter Sinclair Straightnose passed away on Wednesday from an accident involving a vehicle.
A wake was held on Saturday at the Cote hall and the funeral took place the next day where he was buried alongside my Grandfather at the Keeseekoose cemetary.
Hunter was still an infant and didn't deserve such a short-lived life. Last time I got to see Hunter was 3 days before he passed away. He was crawling around the kitchen crying for his mother to give him a bottle so I picked him up and ran off with him.
I am very sorry for my cousin Priscilla and her husband's loss.
Hunter is in paradise now.

blarogh extended
Now going into details!
My faja bought grandfather's old fogey car (which happens to have a really cool exterior), so I've inherited the crappy SUV. It's a good starter vehicle, although there's a lengthy list of repairs.. Lights, wiring, heaters etc
I'll be going for my license May 4th, if I'm lucky I'll pass the first time, but if not there's always a 2nd try!
Once that happens, I'll be sure to hop into the SUV and go pick up one lucky contestant to drive around with me for an hour.
Camping, ah that's too long ago now. Long story short, terrible roads, enjoyed myself.
After camping, drove out to Denny's where I managed to somehow spend a nice $30 on a terribly cooked steak. Asked for a medium rare, ended up being a piece of meat fried on both sides for 10 seconds then served with some soggy fries.
Lanky Purple has been making some very good progress, now with a real official setlist IM HOPING after posting 20 other "official" setlists.
- Iron Swan
- 50 Million Year Trip
- Moby Dick
- Kalvin Henry Bonham drum solo
- Rooster
- War Pigs
That's from memory, I'm sure that's it.
And I think that's it for life at the moment.
and uh hey, over there is Desert Sessions
Buhbye

Rabbit Foot From Beyond The Grave
News news news.. I got my guitar! Yup. Also bought it some beefy strings, some drum skins and a few sticks.
Not much for highlights. I felt like talking about a certain photo that's been upload to Facebook that supposedly contains my Grandfather whom passed away recently, but I feel that I'll get stones thrown at me by the fam.
All I really want to say it, I wish people wouldnt look at people who passed on as good luck charms.
SKINNY PUPPY!

Faded
Finally, some news about my very exciting life.
On friday I'll be financing myself a new Epiphone G-400 Faded SG guitar! Yes, a chocolate beauty with a pretty orange knob. And with that, I'll be repairing my Ibanez, so I can get the show back on the road and get my floyd rose's wang in everyone's face again. We're planning out a show for the summer at the beach.
So Lanky Purple is going somewhere to say the least! Right now the band is working on
Iron Swan
50 Million Year Trip Extended
(Possibly) Moby Dick
The Bronze
and another hidden tune.
Not much else to report on.. I got some strap locks for the El Degas.. $30.. but atleast I won't humiliate myself and drop my guitar anymore.
Last night was lame at work.. I had to close the kitchen by myself, left alone with a fort of dishes and food laying all over the place, it was terrible.
Welp, that's about it. CIAO.
OH I FORGOT TO ADD, TODAY WE HAVE THE PIXIES, SO CLICK OVER THERE >>>

Funerals R' Us
I'm going touch up on a semi-personal topic today. Last night while my brother was visiting, we departed on a search for a discman throughout xcargo (or whatever) and Toys R' Us. No dice at the bargain hunting shop, so off to Toys R' Us. While there, I find my discman and I stumble across an Ouija board. Woohoo! Placebo fun. So I say why not for $13, and head back.
Now, way before I was born I had an auntie, who passed away from a self-inflicted wound. My mother is very superstitous and believed that things such as "devils" and "ghosts" caused her to commit suicide. SO! I bring in this Ouija board and she just freaks..
I understand you'd be scared but I don't think a kid's toy store would sell people a harmful product. I mean, every product is harmful, but something that conjures the powers of Hell.
But whatever, I guess I'll just leave it alone for the time being.
Nothing much else to touch up on. I have some things to say about faith, but I don't exactly know how to get that out so it makes perfect sense. So far all I can say is, "Where's my God?"
I don't want to get too deep into this, because I've considered myself a semi-strong protestant since I was 5 or whenever Dad taught me about the right and wrongs of Christianity. I'm not saying that I'm done believing in God, hell no (no pun intended). I just feel that maybe we were apes at one time.. But theres always that question, "What began everything?"
I'd like to stay close to Christ, and for now I think that's what I'll do until I read on more and get some real answers.

if
Last night was the MSI concert, better than I expected! From what I can remember the setlist included
Stupid MF
Straight to Video
1989
Bring the Pain (acapella)
Fgot
3 AM (Issues)
Never Wanted to Dance
Shut Me Up
Prescription
Bee eye tee see ehch's
Tornado
thats all I remember. Well not all, I'll post more later when it comes to mind. But it took place in a hot tiny room. Jimmy sure knew how to put on a great show, very crowd interactive.
After the show, Jess and I quickly made our way out to the tour bus, when we got there I had a little fun bugging whoever was sitting in the tour bus watching Saving Private Ryan. Jess convinced me to go warm up inside, and to our suprise the band was hanging out signing autographs, so we got lucky and Kitty took my sharpie. :]
That's about all right now! I nabbed a tour shirt and a deluxe cd aswell as a Hollowboy EP. (Don't ask who they are, I have no idea.)
So in honor of last night, todays video channel brings you some MSI.

re: Overhaul
I forgot to add (without editing.. :S)
Since I havent been keeping up, we played the Coffee House under the name Lanky Purple, but in a crazy twist and turn of things, we only ended up doing N.I.B and 50 Million Year Trip. Ah, too bad, but that's what happens when you only have two weeks of practice. We'll get the other songs next time!

Overhaul
I've given the blog a makeover for I.P. Changed up the colours a bit, although they're still depressing and gloomy :(
I've added a video feature on the right, which I will call my daily video channel! Everyday I'll post videos from a different band so I thought I'd begin the tradition with a little Black Light Burns.
Whats new hmm..
Lets begin with my contacts, I woke up this morning to get out a new pair of contacts only to find that they were curled up oddly, when I tried to untangle the left contant lense, it ripped right in half. So I grabbed another one, but thank god it only tore a bit, so I'm wearing a half torn contact lense that hurts my eye everytime I blink. Time to dish out another $150.
Tonights the Mindless Self Indulgence concert! I dont know what to say about that. A little excited, a little not! Hoping I'll get an autograph or two tonight.
Moving on, I had rented a movie about 2 weeks ago called "Let The Right One In", an overdubbed swedish vampire movie about two kids. Needless to say, it was amazingly good, everyone over at Rotten Tomatoes seems to agree. I'd love to tell about the whole movie, but I'd rather you saw it for yourself. Nothing you'd expect from the title and cover. With that, I've added a poll on the side I'll change whenever it ends, beginning this weeks with a poll about foreign films.
I got pinkeye last week, that was hell.
I'll get back to you when I think of more to say!
Signing off, spiral out!

The amazing new medley of Kyuss/QOTSA put together by me, composed by me and Kalvin. Coming to the coffee house march 6th! It'll probably sound like **** but whatever, hopefully with the help of some effects and good timing it will sound decent for only being rehearsed twice.
Song List:
El Rodeo
50 Million Year Trip
I Think I Lost My Headache
Feel Good Hit of the Summer
Avon
You Can't Quit Me Baby
Burn The Witch
No One Knows
You Would Know

Science and Chemistry
Not really chemistry, but that's an amazing word. Turns out my computer isnt fit enough to be involved in the exciting robotic activities so I decided to write up on my blog. Lets start with Repo! (!) Good if you like musicals although the singing was a little silly at times, especially during Shiloh's parts, you dont need to sing every word that comes out of your mouth, especially if you're not going to rhyme once. Nothing in this movie touched opera except a little bit of Rotti and of course Sarah Brightman who of course stole the show with her Blind Mag persona. Bill Moseley was also pretty entertaining to watch alongside Nivek Ogre. Songwise, nothing memorable, infact I can only say there was 3 songs that were actually "songs" in the movie and not just the cast singing their every word. These would have to be the Graverobber's "little glass bottle" part, Testify, and the bluesy father and daughter death song at the end. I still won't count Sarah Brightmans amazing performance.
ASIDE FROM THAT, I got my coffee table finally, $20 along with a disgusting hustler magazine that smelt like bug spray and had unusual circular spots inbetween pages. My god, I'll have to wash my hands thirty times over.
I've been debating another Keanu Reeves haircut after watching The Matrix again, holy christ Keanu Reeves is amazing. . . . . "I can see you."
Nothing else really to talk about
"Have you ever played the makeout game? I got ranked 7 out of 10!"

SO YEAH CHECKEMOUT
Friday, February 20, 2009
Nice to meet you!
After seeing everyone has an exciting blog, I thought I'd make one, yknow same old story..
So I suppose I should write about stuff thats happening in my life currently.
I have a bad habit of showing everyone what I'm listening to so everytime I post a blog I'll put what I'm listening to and some shit about what youtube videos I dig right now.
FOR EXAMPLE
Listening to -
Artist - Ween
Song - Stacey
Album - God Ween Satan - The Oneness
Favourite Watch of the Day! -
Artist - Ministry
Song - Thieves
Link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvNBdSerHVU
Yknow just hoping you'll be interested. But what happened today.. hmm hmmhmmhm
Well I wokeup, had a bath (a lame one). Had a piece of french toast and some tortellini for breakfast. I had an anxiety attack during science. I was upset today because I went to go finish my powerpoint presentation (about dyatlov) today at lunch but I had to come back at 12. So I had to do a computer science assignment AND work on powerpoint in that time but it didnt work out so Im still not done my powerpoint which should be ready for monday.
blahblahblah
I'm listening to Deftones now. yeah
I went to deposit my cheque today and the lady made me stand and wait there for half an hour while she verified the cheque. You think they would get used to me coming there every 2 weeks and just give me the god damn money.
I rented Repo! cause Jessica did and watched it without me even though we agreed that it would be our next cool movie to watch. >_> So I'll probably pop it in when I go to bed..
I'm thirsty.
I hope I'll get some followers to come and read my blog everyday and get excited and ask me about what else is going on..
Someone took a nice yellow piss in the corner of the mcdonalds bathroom right beside the urinal tonight. I managed to put my foot in it fffffff.....
I downed three cheeseburgers, a chipolte snack wrap and a medium fries. Incase.. you wanted to know.
No plans for tommorow just gonna play some fallout 3, go to work, come home and rest. So I'll get back to you people then.. Even though no ones reading this and no ones going to read this.
Goodnight!
